New Praise and Worship Service to Beging

Sunday, June 1, begins our new worship schedule for Sunday mornings. At 10:00 we will have a traditional worship service, especially aimed at those who love the old hymns and traditional music. At 10:00 is Sunday School, and at 11:00 we will have our new Contemporary Praise and Worship Service. This will feature upbeat music and include both the Praise Band and choir. Join us Sunday for these worship opportunities.

12 Week Study of the New Testament

The Canon of the New Testament"The Making of the New Testament Canon" is the topic for a new 12-week study beginning April 6. There can be no question that the New Testament is the most important book—or collection of books—in the history of Western civilization; it is by far the "bestseller" of all time, since the invention of printing. But many people today do not know a lot about the New Testament, including such basic facts as what books it contains, when they were written, by whom, when, and for what purpose; how the books were copied and transmitted down through the ages; and when and why they came to be collected together into a canon of Scripture. This course is designed to answer these basic questions about the New Testament.

Study participants will meet each Sunday evening at 5:30 in the SFC Fellowship Hall. The study is formatted as a 30 minute DVD lecture by Dr. Bart Ehrman followed by a 30-minute discussion time.

Camp Ferncliff

Church Camps Are Around the Corner

If your kids are of camp age, now is the time to get registered for the upcoming summer camps.

Camp dates and amounts are as follows:

  • CYF Conference - June 15-21 - $250 (before 5/21) – grades 9th – 12th
  • Discovery Camp - June 21-22 - $80 (before 5/21) – grades K – 2nd
  • JYF Camp - June 22-25 - $190 (before 5/21) – grades 3rd – 5th
  • CHI RHO Camp - June 25-29 - $200 (before 5/21) – grades 6th – 8th
  • FIS2H Camp - July 6-12 - $260 (before 5/21) – 9th grade
